New Year – New Prices

Everything changes all the time. Here at Earbuds NZ, we are no different.

We had a price freeze on our Standard Post prices since July 2018, when NZ Post raised their postal rates. But we’ve now had to bring our postage costs in line with them.

On the bright side, we’re dropping the prices of all our Standard, Sony and Apple tips to no more than $2.00 a pair as of January 1st, 2019.

In case you missed it, the prices of the Jaybird tips were dropped prior to Christmas and are only $2.00 a pair.

The prices of the Bose, Samsung and Motorolas will remain unchanged for now.

We are looking forward to your custom throughout 2019, and as always, if you have any queries whatsoever, feel free to drop us a line through our contact page.

Happy New Year!

Shipping Prices Frozen – For a LIMITED time!

When the weather is this cold, it’s awesome for us to be able to give you some great news. So, until the 10th of July (inclusive), we’re ignoring NZ Post and not putting up our shipping prices for orders within New Zealand!

Apologies to our Aussie cousins, your postage costs still have to go up, and are now $2.40.

So, Standard Post orders will remain at $2.00, and ParcelPost orders will remain at $3.00.

And some more good news is that NZ Post have decided to drop the cost of adding Tracking to ParcelPost orders, so we’re passing this cost on to you. It is now only $1 extra to get ParcelPost Tracked!

So get your orders in quick to take advantage of these great shipping deals while they last!!

Living in the wop wops? Rural Delivery for the win – again!

NZ Post Rural Delivery SurchargeWhen NZ Post added their Rural Delivery surcharge, we removed the option of ParcelPost deliveries to rural areas because the cost of the surcharge was outrageous, and we never thought anybody would ever want to pay that much extra for a parcel.

It turns out we were wrong. And for that, we apologise whole-heartedly to all of our RD customers!

So we have added an option at checkout to indicate that your address is a Rural Delivery address. It is located just below where you enter your billing/shipping address. Just tick the box, and the surcharge will be added to your order.

If you haven’t ticked that box, and you have selected ParcelPost or ParcelPost Tracked as your shipping option when you pay for your order, shipping of your order could be delayed.

And just a reminder, standard letters don’t incur a surcharge for Rural Deliveries.

Introducing ParcelPost Tracked

ParcelPost (Tracked)Earbuds NZ is pleased to announce we now provide the option of ParcelPost Tracked. This is a great option for people who just want peace of mind.

Our standard policy has been to only charge you, the customer, what postage actually costs. However, as ParcelPost Tracked actually requires visiting an NZ Post branch, we feel it is necessary to include an additional 50 cents surcharge for the additional effort required to send your package.

This postage method will also be required for sending replacement orders to people who have reported their first order as lost. This ensures the replacement order gets where it’s intended.

If you have any feedback, I’d love to hear it!

UPDATE: I have recently been made aware of the ParcelPost Tracked Upgrade tickets that can be purchased from the Post Office. This is a stand-alone sticker with a tracking code that can be added to ParcelPost parcels. This saves a trip to the Post Office, and means the 50 cent surcharge is no longer required! Saves us hassle, and saves you money… now that’s what I call Win-Win!

FastPost Price Increase

NZ Post Raises Prices

UPDATE: Sadly, on Jan 1, 2018, the FastPost was discontinued by NZ Post. Although NZ Post says the delivery targets for Standard Post and ParcelPost are up to 3 business days, the reality for many customers is up to 8 days for Standard Post – although sometimes much faster for a lucky few. ParcelPost appears to be a much faster option at this stage if you need your replacement tips in a bit of a hurry.

As you may have heard, NZ Post are increasing the prices of some of their services from the 1st of July. One of those services is FastPost, which is going up from $2.80 to $3.30 for large envelopes. Your orders count as large because they are thicker than 6mm.

This is an incredible increase, and I can’t help but think NZ Post is shooting themselves in the foot – but that’s just my opinion.

Unfortunately, I will be unable to offer this as a free postage option at the current spend level of $12 and over. Instead, this will be offered at $15 and over.

On the positive side, Standard Post remains the same. Yay! And you will still get free Standard Post when when you spend $10 or more. Double-yay!!

Postage costs to Australia remain at $2.20.

Order your tips today and select FastPost to grab a postage-bargain while it still lasts!
